Sixteen years ago, we found a homeless kitten in an alley.  When we picked the kitten up and held her in our hands, she let us know in her own way that we were going to be friends for life.  We named her Bylka.  She brought us happiness in the best of times and in the worst of times.  We thank the Lord for each year that she was a member of our family, and we thank you and your staff for the respectful care provided to her as she makes her journey to “a place called Rainbow Bridge”.  Thank you!

  What makes your cremation services different?

  First of all, we are the only pet crematory in the Kansas City area operated by a funeral home. You will be working with funeral professionals. Some of the same people who work with our pet services work with our human services. We believe that you will find us to be more professional and better able to accommodate any special requests.

  What if my veterinarian’s office says they can take care of the cremation?

  The Amos Family works with some of our local veterinarians, but not all. The biggest difference is that the level of service you will receive from the Amos Family will be far superior. Your pet’s cremated remains will be available to you in a couple of days. In many cases, we can have the cremated remains ready that same day.

  What if my pet dies at home?

  When a pet dies at home, there are two options. You can call 913-631-7314 and arrange for a home pick up 24 hours a day, or you can bring your pet to us during business hours. The cost of a home pick up ranges from $50.00 to $150.00 depending on the time of day. Additional mileage fees may apply. Go to the "Our Prices" page for more information.
